About Big House Painters | Veteran-Owned Painters in Liberty, MO
A Veteran Legacy of Creating the Perfect Experience
Big House Painters is a partnership between two Air Force veterans, Chris White and Kevin Buchanan, who met while helping homeowners rehab their properties. We discovered our passion for painting when we saw how it creates one of the biggest transformations for a house, both in value and in the homeowner's living experience.
But our commitment to excellence goes back generations. This business was inspired by Chris's grandfather, Gunther Gnass, who pioneered his own cold apple storage methods while working the farmers markets of Montreal, Canada. His passion wasn't just about growing the perfect apple. His purpose was creating the perfect experience for his customers. That same philosophy drives everything we do today.
Our military training taught us precision, discipline, and respect for property. In the Air Force, we learned that every detail matters, every mission has a deadline, and you always leave things better than you found them. Those values translate directly to how we approach luxury home painting:
Mission-Focused Completion
A realistic timeline agreed to up front and put in writing, with no projects left dragging on for weeks.
Attention to Detail
Museum-quality protection and finishes done right the first time.
Respect for Property
A reputation built over 17 years on protecting every home we work in as if it were our own.
Accountability
You work directly with the owners. No middlemen, no handoffs, no games.
Our goal is simple: to be the painters Liberty and the Northland trust without a second thought, by making every experience so good you'd never consider anyone else. When you work with us, you're working directly with two veterans who care deeply about creating the perfect experience for you.
